Foot Traffic: Southeast Alaska

Foot traffic data for Southeast Alaska in the graph below shows traffic trend comparisons from the most recent 12-month period (March-February) to the previous 12 month period.

  • Foot traffic provides a strong indication of future home sales.  SentriLock, LLC. provides NAR Research with monthly data on the number of showings.
  • The 12-month spread in foot traffic in the area covered by the Southeast Alaska Multiple Listing weakened in February.
  • Tax-credit-induced foot traffic in 2010 may account for part of this spread, but the traffic figure for January was also stronger.
