  • Forty-two percent of recent buyers were unsure of how long they expected to own their home.
  • The typical buyer estimated they would live in their home for 10 years.
  • Repeat buyers and buyers over the age of 45 estimated they would live in their home for 15 years.
  • Buyers who were 18 to 24 years of age estimated they would live in their home for seven years before moving.
