  • Foot traffic can provide great insight into the direction of future home sales.  SentriLock, LLC. provides NAR Research with monthly data on the number of showings.
  • Foot traffic in the area covered by the Scenic Coast Association of REALTORS® (Central coast of CA) has been stronger in each month since April relative to the same month in 2010 including a sharp increase in the spread in July.
  • The strength of this May and June relative to last year is a reflection of the end of the tax credit in May of 2010, but also more confidence in the local market this year.
  • For more information on this data and its use, see the economist’s commentary, “Foot Traffic - Getting a Step Ahead.”
