Foot Traffic: Georgia

  • Foot traffic provides a strong indication of future home sales.  SentriLock, LLC. provides NAR Research with monthly data on the number of showings.
  • Foot traffic in the area covered by the Rabun County Board of REALTORS® (Georgia) eased in October and was slightly weaker than a year ago.
  • However, the drop in foot traffic which followed the expiration of the 2010 tax credit expired was short lived in this area and foot traffic bounced back by mid-summer, so the year-over-year sales pace is lower, but respectable.  This pattern bodes well for the fall market.
