Realtor® Confidence in Residential Markets - Up Significantly

The REALTORS® Confidence Index is an indicator of housing market strength based on a monthly survey sent to over 50,000 real estate practitioners.   Respondents indicate whether conditions are, or are expected to be "strong" (100 points), "moderate" (50 points), and "weak" (0 points). The results are the average score for each question. A score of 50 is the threshold between a "strong" and a "weak" condition.

The sample size for the monthly reports varies depending upon the number of responses, but the sample is always well in excess of the number of responses needed for a plus or minus 1 percent precision. The current month’s report is based on 4,300 Realtor® responses and is available at http://www.realtor.org/research/research/reps.

Realtor® confidence in the market outlook has increased significantly in all markets.
